# Addition and Subtraction Hangman

In Grade 2, students learn addition and subtraction within 100 ([Outcome](https://goa-cc-uat-aili-app-001.azurewebsites.net/explore/node/29844)). This game helps you practise math words and ideas. As you play, you will think about breaking apart numbers. You will build sums in different ways. You will understand what each part means ([Skills](https://goa-cc-uat-aili-app-001.azurewebsites.net/explore/node/29848), [Skills](https://goa-cc-uat-aili-app-001.azurewebsites.net/explore/node/29852)).

## How to play

One player thinks of a secret word. That player draws a blank line for each letter. The other player guesses one letter at a time. If the letter is in the word, write it on every blank. If the letter is not in the word, add one part to the hangman drawing. You have room for 6 wrong guesses. If you guess the word before the hangman is complete, you win. If the hangman is finished first, the other player wins.
