# Number Ways to Make 47

Numbers can be made in more than one way. Let's find some!

**Pick a number between 20 and 100. Write it at the top of your page. Show three different ways to make that sum, using addition. Use at least one way with three or more addends** ([Understanding](https://goa-cc-uat-aili-app-001.azurewebsites.net/explore/node/29847), [Skills](https://goa-cc-uat-aili-app-001.azurewebsites.net/explore/node/29848)).

### Where to start:
- What number did you pick? Write it in a circle.
- Can you make it with two addends? Write that equation.
- Can you make it with tens and ones? Try 40 + 7.
- Can you use doubles, like 20 + 20 + 7?
- Draw a picture or use blocks to check your work.

### Stretch:
Now write a subtraction equation that gets you back to zero from your number. Check it using addition ([Skills](https://goa-cc-uat-aili-app-001.azurewebsites.net/explore/node/29852)).
