# Particle Model Hangman

In Grade 5 science, you investigate how the particle model of matter explains the behaviour of solids, liquids, and gases ([Outcome](https://goa-cc-uat-aili-app-001.azurewebsites.net/explore/node/36473)). This game focuses on key vocabulary: the tiny pieces that make up all matter, how tightly packed they are, and the properties we measure to understand them ([Details](https://goa-cc-uat-aili-app-001.azurewebsites.net/explore/node/36475)).

## How to play

- There are 4 words to guess, one per round. Each blank stands for one letter.
- Guess one letter at a time. If it is in the word, write it in every blank where it belongs; if not, write it in the wrong-guess spaces.
- You have 6 wrong guesses per round. Use the clue when you are stuck. The answer key gives all 4 words.

## Puzzles

### Round 1 (8 letters)

`K _ _ _ _ _ _ _`

Clue: An SI unit used to measure mass, abbreviated kg

Wrong guesses: ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___

### Round 2 (7 letters)

`D _ _ _ _ _ _`

Clue: A comparison of an object's mass to its volume

Wrong guesses: ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___

### Round 3 (8 letters)

`P _ _ _ _ _ _ _`

Clue: A tiny piece of matter that all substances are made of

Wrong guesses: ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___

### Round 4 (6 letters)

`L _ _ _ _ _`

Clue: A state of matter where particles slide past each other with space between them

Wrong guesses: ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___

## Answer key

- Round 1: **KILOGRAM**
- Round 2: **DENSITY**
- Round 3: **PARTICLE**
